The brief was to come up with social posts to remind the public about the looming monsoon season and warn them about potential flash floods, but we saw potential for a film idea too. Having convinced our clients, we set out to produce a fairly-challenging film, considering the strict COVID measures that were put in place at the time.
Personifying the effects of climate change.
As Singapore begins to witness first hand the increasingly menacing effects brought about by climate change, we felt the need to amplify a sense of urgency in public awareness.
So, we decided to produce a fast-paced film that personified flash floods as agile, malevolent beings determined to bring instantaneous disruption to the streets of Singapore, only to be met by some of PUB’s flood protection measures.
In less than a week, the film had garnered over 26,000 views.
