The Most Dangerous Animal in the Forest
World Wildlife Fund (WWF)
Ideas can come from unexpected places – this one came to me when I mistook the sound of a squeaky door for a kitten in distress.
The budget for this radio spot was as real as the client. This was put together using a free mixing software, illegally downloaded SFX from YouTube, and an affordable voice talent from fiverr.
Note: This was a side project. It did not run.
Selfishness can be a dangerous weapon.
We, humans, tend to forget that we’re animals too – the only ones capable of depleting natural resources and endangering other animals in the process.
Based on this simple insight, I produced a radio spot that uses aural similarities between the sound of a tiger’s growl and a chainsaw to trigger listeners into realising that selfish human activities such as deforestation can drastically impact our ecosystem, making us the most dangerous animal in any environment.
Script:
VO

VO
It isn't the tiger.
Sadly, it’s us.
Tigers are endangered as a result of selfish human activities,
and one of them is deforestation.
You can save the tigers.
